I'm a health nut!
For all those who don't know me that well I am kind of a health nut... I took this class called Biology Nutrition in college. It was actually the first college class I had ever taken. I learned a ton because it was a smaller class size and it was a very conversational class. I loved it. Every now and then I will spout off some random fact I learned from that class because alot of what I learned really stuck with me. I really don't apply alot of it unfortunately..but last year around this time I gave up sugar and wheat ..wow i only lasted 2 weeks on it because I threw a bridal shower for my cousin Tiff and ended up mowing down on some chocolate caramel cashew cake! Oh my gosh it was so divine... from there my sugar addictions escalated and here i am today hoping to try it again because I remember how healthy and energetic I felt when I cut out all that processed food, gluten, white flour, & refined sugar. Soo I went shopping lastnight and bought lots and lots of meat, shrimp, veggies, eggs, plain yogurt, ezekial cereal, olives (for a snack), I actually should go buy some fruit too now that I think of it but I have some leftover simply orange juice so that should be sufficient for now. The first few days are always the hardest so I am praying for lots of strength =) Then after that my cravings should go away and I am hoping I can last longer than two weeks this time.. I would recommend doing this to everyone I know... your body will love you for it.

I can't tell you how many times I've done this! I always feel so good and healthy, and then somehow I just slowly start eating all that crap again! It makes me so mad that I do that to myself over and over again! The longest I went without all that was two or three months and felt great! I am now not being as good as I used to be, just trying to keep control over how much of stuff like that I eat. We're starting out with eating fish once a week for now, cause really, fish isn't our favorite, but we really want to eat meat other than chicken!
Good luck to ya, I'm sure you can do it longer this time! One thing to remember is, okay, say you have a piece of cake at a wedding, that's OKAY, just get back on track and not make it a daily habit after that! These are the things I'm always reminding myself! ={ It's hard cause I'm married to a sweet tooth!
Yay for you! I'm on a low sugar diet and it is hard. I LOVE SUGAR. It is my friend. But I'm learning to love STEVIA. Kinda ewww but worth it to feel good and be healthy. Now if I could learn how to bake with it...
Im on day 5 and feeling great! I don't feel deprived at all! more stable energy and clearer thought. I think I can go two weeks no problem, maybe even longer. not sure how u did it for 3 months Shelby!! thats awesome!
