Isaiah 58:6

(New King James Version)
6 “
Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens,
To let the oppressed go free,
And that you break every yoke?

It's been a week on my no sugar diet (except fruit) and I feel awesome!! I don't feel deprived at all. I definately have more of a variety of foods in my diet now and am eating alot more protein. The only thing that I eat that's not so great for me is the little starbucks doubleshots sugar free.

I became a sugar addict to gain energy.... but I know God is calling me to give this addiction up to Him and lean on Him. I need to learn how to love what is good!!! This is God's way of teaching me that obeying His commands and living under His authority and rules ARE good for me. That the sin that seems so desirable at the time will have bad consequences later. Some people tell me "well you have to have a little bit at least, a little bit is good" but that's like telling an alcoholic they should have just one drink! It doesn't work for me.

This is a list I found online of why too much sugar is bad..I like to read it often so I dont forget ...I can testify that some of it is true but I don't know the validity of the source which I found this list from.
